New Blog Theme: Let There Be Light

By United House Publishing Team

Our new blog theme will provide examples of how we see can God’s light in and through us. It is a reflection of how we can bring God’s light to those around us and for those who read our writing. Let there be light is about being a light and allowing God’s light to be seen.

We will read testimonies of how people have seen God’s light in their lives and see examples of choosing to see God’s light in the good times and the struggles.

In everything we face we must choose to see God’s light no matter the circumstances or difficulties we come up against. God’s light is always there shining on us to show He’s fighting for us.

All God has to do is speak light into existence and it comes. Everywhere we look we can see His light and know it will always be there.

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.

Genesis 1:3 ESV

And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years, and let them be lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth.”

Genesis 1:14-15 ESV

God’s light is brillant. He not only speaks light into existence, but He separates day from night. When we are able to see God’s light in our lives, we can see His hand guiding us. His light helps us to take the next step, the next yes, or the next pivot as we walk closer with God.

This blog theme will give us a glimpse of God’s light in every season we face. Let there be light blog theme is seeing how we can walk in God’s light and share His light.

We have to have His light in us by being in relationship with God. If His light is not in us, we cannot walk in the light. God’s light brightens our darkness to see we need His light to fill us and show us the way to the truth.

If you are struggling to see God’s light in your life, challenge yourself to write down the things that display God’s light in your life. Sit with God and ask Him to reveal more of His light to you. Ask the Lord to open your eyes in how to be a light for others in leading them back to God.

  • Where can I see God’s light?
  • How can I be a light for the Lord?
  • Is there a testimony I can share of God’s light?
  • How has God spoken “Let There Be Light” in you?

Choosing to see “Let there be light” of God’s light can be challenging at times. But we have to remember the Lord is with us in every step we take. He has spoken light into existence and it has shined down on us.

Testimonials

  • Taylor Phillips, author of Training Ground

United House Publishing was 100% an answer to prayer. I knew that God called me to write books, but I wasn't in a good position to publish according to certain industry expectations. I continued to be faithful, knowing God would make a way. AND HE DID. United House is such a champion for the underdog—for the one who doesn't have a huge platform but wants to be obedient to God. I was so blessed by the process from start to finish. From the heart and help of the revision team, to editing, coaching, and everything in between. United House was, and is, an incredible company to be part of!

United House Publishing is absolutely GREAT to work!  I previously published a book alone... and it was so hard.  But UHP gives support like no other!  When they say they are praying over you and your work, you KNOW it!  The author coaches I have worked with have been awesome.  Not only do they help you set and crush your writing goals, they also help you pursue wellness in all aspects of your life, and you can't put a price tag on that!

  • Wendy Perry, author of The Battle Within

God gave me the words to write a book and then He sent me to the perfect place to publish it—United House Publishing! The thought of editing and publishing a book was new and overwhelming. However, through God's peace and directing me to UHP the whole process was made easier. I felt "safe" and "at ease" sharing the story God gave me to UHP, because they treated me and my manuscript with respect. I'm thankful I obeyed God and worked with UHP to publish my very first book.

  • Gina Rodriguez, author of Teacher Tired

As a person who has NEVER considered herself a writer, it is no shock I was in need of help when I felt led to publish my first book.  I am so blessed that I was referred to UHP.  I started my writing journey so afraid of the process, not sure where to start or what to expect. It was such a huge relief to have a team of authentic writers, editors, mentor me along the way as I pushed back fears of intimidation that tried to stop me.  With UHP I found my writing voice. The monthly coaching calls were especially important to keep me going when idleness or doubt crept in (because it will).  Having UHP to pray with me, refine my writing skills and keep me accountable made all the difference between beginning to write a book to actually finishing it!
